It's funny you mention the designs about Mortal Kombat X because I was saying pretty much the same thing in another forum.
I even go so far as Mortal Kombat 9 went overboard with the costumes too. I don't like how much detail and design is on Scorpion and Sub-Zero, I much prefer the simple outfits from Part 1 or 2. I hated that they gave Johnny Cage the tattoo in Part 9.... wtf.
He's my favorite character but they ruined him with that tat.
