Well not really half the detail since the paint apps and sculpt on the 6" line are pretty nice most of the time. I actually don't see most of the paint on the 12" line being any better or even any more really, it's the sculpting of the little things at that larger scale that pushes them up in my opinion to being more than just blimped up 6" figures.
I think the line's lack of sales is a big thing of collectors not knowing how long the line will last or if we'll ever get any more varied characters than just the most popular heroes with movies. I do understand that hesitation of jumping onto a new line in a new scale when the one that's more familiar is still going strong. The 6" Legends show no signs of slowing down with their momentum and have increased typical quality while also pumping out more figures over a shorter period of time (though that can be a problem) so I'd imagine very few people will have the desire to start up a collection for a totally new scale of all the characters they already have. Unless this is all some ploy from Hasbro to trick the 3.75" collecting community to push into the 6" game by making us think that the 6" scale is now the smaller scale and that the 12" figures are now the new main scale, those devious manipulative tricksters.
