I've gotta admit that the Spider-Man wave isn't doing much for me at all. Out of what's been revealed and disregarding rumored figures, the only ones of the actual wave that appeal to me is Mysterio and, of course, the BAF Lizard. Gwenpool and Spidr-Punk I'm mildly interested in just because they seem like fun figures based on the accessories, but I have no attachment to the characters. The Spiderverse stuff is cool for the people that like it, but I feel like it's being milked dry at this point. I would personally prefer more of the Rogues Gallery to be rounded out as opposed to 3-4 different alternate costumes for Spider-Man/Woman per wave, but I understand that the Spider-Man waves obviously have to have a strong presence for Spider-Man himself so I don't even know what Hasbro can realistically do to make these waves more appealing to me while stilling ensuring retailers will stock them. I think it's time for me to sit out on the Spider-Man waves. After I get Lizard and Mysterio of course...lol.

Meanwhile, the X-Men wave is on the opposite end of the spectrum, even after having only seen 4 figures from it. EVERY single figure revealed so far is a MUST have. Tiger Stripe Wolverine is my favorite costume. Psylocke is essential for the 90s X-Men. And Punk Storm may not be my favorite Storm outfit (I'm with everyone else; I would have preferred First Appearance or Jim Lee), but Storm is one of my favorite X-Men, and I'll gladly take ANY figure they make of her, especially since I don't have a single Storm in my collection. And that Apocalypse BAF just hits all of the right spots. I have the old BAF that I got from SDCC last year, but it'll be really nice to have one that isn't so massive. Hasbro has yet to let me down on their character selection for the X-Men waves, so this is most likely an instant pre-order for me.

Avengers wave....not much to talk about. Songbird will be a nice addition, and King Cobra will be great for the Serpent Society (I still need to get Eel....he's available for extremely cheap right now and I have no excuse for not getting him other than laziness).

The Black Panther wave....I'm pretty mixed on. I actually DID want a classic Namor, ANAD Iron-Man and Black Bolt. I just don't like that Black Panther's wave is so Illuminati-centric, especially since we now know that Klaw and Shuri are gonna be in a TRU-exclusive 2-pack. I did hear something about us getting 3 MCU figures in the wave though (I really hope that the inevitable Killmonger comes with a MBJ head sculpt), so....whatever. I'm down for it.

Deadpool is probably my second favorite wave here. We aren't seeing anything new here except for Paladin and Sasquatch. Don't know much about Paladin, but that's another new character for me to look into. Sasquatch is awesome. Don't have the original TB version and I'm loving this beefier version of him. Of course....this means we need an updated Alpha Flight crew. I still don't have Puck either.

Overall, the first of HasCon has been pretty exciting. Way better than the reveals from SDCC, personally.
