Like, sure, it was far from great, but it wasn't quite bad enough to get nominated among the likes of BvS, TMNT: Out Of The Shadows, Alice Through The Looking Glass, Fifty Shades Of Black, Independence Day: Resurgence, or Zoolander 2. In fact, given they seem to have had 6 nominations that year instead of their normal 5, I don't think they were """excluding""" Ghostbusters for """""""political correctness""""""".
