It has been ages since I've posted here! I've wanted to, but it's been hard to keep up with getting things added everywhere. But, I'm least trying to get my favorites shared around. Appreciate you looking!
Whew. Continuing the run through Cable's Six Pack leads us to Cable himself. When the request came in, I was given images for every character and was allowed to pick the order. Needless to say, I put this off for a little bit while I worked up the guts. I was asked to create a smaller version of the X-Men Legends Cable figure, and since I love that design, I was super excited to give it a go. Now, if I can work out where all the parts came from, I can go back and add him as a Make to Order listing to the store.
I was going to just build off the full Cable figure, but it actually came out simpler to mix and match pieces. Using the smaller Gladiator legs allowed me to build onto them a bit, sculpting up the straps and pants. Smaller lower legs also allowed me to sculpt up the front of the boots and the knees. Allowing everything to look balanced. Glued the holster on, cut and glued the belt in place, rounding out the back with sculpt, then added on some extra pouches. The upper torso took three layers, but I finally got it sculpted up right. The first to smooth it over, the second for all the metal sectioning, and the third for the final layer of armor. Also added sculpt to the side of his neck and his face for the continuation of his metal arm. After all of that, a full repaint, and finally done!
Recipe:
Head, Arms, Upper Torso, Gun - MU Cable
Lower Torso - MU Sandman
Upper Legs - MU Gladiator
Lower Legs - Captain America: The First Avenger WWII Cap
Holsters, Pouches - not sure
Belt - No clue. Think it was a ROC figure
