We could speculate infinitely about this, but the fact remains: until Mattel explicitly announces the cancellation of the line, it's still viable. And no, just because the same 4 or 5 figures have hung on the pegs at your local WM for weeks on end does not mean that the line as a whole is dead.

There may not be any new product coming out for a while, but Mattel has also said they're looking at next year for that.

Plus, the new GL line may rekindle retailer or collector interest in DCIH. And if the GL line is successful, Mattel can use the funds to further R&D on DCIH. Just look what Hasbro has been able to do since TF07.
