SH Figuarts does a good job (generally) for mass-produced licensed likenesses, such as the Batman movie characters, Avengers, etc. They look a lot more like the actors than the Hasbro releases... I THINK that's what the original comment was aiming at. Since Cammy isn't based on Kylie Minogue, he's giving Figuarts Cammy more freedom from a perfect likeness.

Problem is, since Street Fighter 2, it's been a heavily anime/manga influenced series. Almost all the toys, game art, etc, has been based on the Udon manga art, other than the Hasbro GI joe Street Fighter toys.

As for Storm Collectibles, their ChunLi looks very anime-ish too. As do ALL their game toys, including Mortal Kombat ninjas (they have an exaggerated, anime-like gradient tone to their paint jobs, anime-style generic ninja eyes, etc).
