See, I shouldn't have to turn my brain off to enjoy a movie. I'm not saying Blade II is a poorly made movie, as it has a lot of great production values, but I think it is just as bad as X3 and Spider-Man 3, just without the poor acting. Ron Perlman is the only reason I can sit through the film anymore. I feel like the movie gets a pass because Del Toro made the movie.

You definitley contradict yourself from time to time.
How am I contradicting myself?

Yes...this movie was def more action than plot (my review of it later as it is second on my marathon list)
But how can you say you don't understand the love for it. It was sick as Fugg from beginning to end on the action.
Read what I just said above. :-)

That's what lots of comic based readers want from time to time.
a BAD story and action is one thing. But an average to non critical story and tons of action..well that just works.
I'm not saying I expect a comic book super hero film to be as deep as something like Double Indemnity or A Clockwork Orange, but I find myself bored through a lot of Blade II.

I know I'm repeating myself at this point, but there is no such thing as super hero fatigue. Black Panther just proved that. Some people might get sick of them, but I hate it when people seem to single out super hero movies yet ignore all of the romantic comedies, dramas, and horror films that come a year. Comic book adaptations have become their own genre at this point, so saying they need to release less of them yet have no problem with there being 200 horror movies a year is very hypocritical.

If someone feels like they are tired of them, they simply don't need to go see them.

Now if someone said they were tired of super hero movies that were constantly banking on you seeing the sequel in order for you to get a completed story, that I can agree with as every movie has been doing that these days. Studios are so concerned with setting up the sequel that they forget to make a movie. Alien Covenant did this. Batman vs Superman did it. Even Iron Man 2 and Age of Ultron did this.
