I didn't need to connect him to Mace Windu or Darth Plagueis or someone else we already know to appreciate the overall narrative, but that's me.

Actually I think speculation and/or a good fan theory makes me appreciate the overall narrative even more in some cases, kinda like the top in inception. I really loved the Boba Fett character form ESB, but when they revealed a lot of his origin in the prequel (forget which one) it was kind of a letdown. I know when I see a good movie I like I discuss it a lot with friends/coworkers/family... also that’s what I love about the MCU, it refers to stuff that happened in older movies that were released years before, but to each their own!
