Do you guys really mix you Marvel and DC Comics figures? Really?
I mix my DC Direct, DC Collectibles, DC Multiverse and DC Universe figures. That works out pretty well for me most of the time because DCUC and Multiverse are more like 6 1/2 inches tall so it's not that much of a stretch to mix in most DC Direct and DCC figures. I have taken photos for fun with DC and Marvel characters together but I display them separately. I never have them shoulder to shoulder with Marvel Legends on a shelf in my collection. I'm not action figure police, and you can certainly display your toys however you see fit. I just don't understand why every one thinks these should be in perfect scale with Marvel Legends.
I guess I would prefer if they were all one universal scale for kitbashing and customizing, but that's about all. The main reason why I don't like DC Icons scale is because they don't fit with any of my DC figures, not because they don't fit in with Marvel Legends. I'm glad that DCC is making figures with articulation that is similar to Marvel Legends, but I don't need them to be in the exact same scale.
I'd like it if these new DC Essentials had a few accessories, but I usually just pop on one set of hands and seldom swap them out. I would prefer it if they came with weapons and effects pieces over a dozen slightly different hands.
