Hmmm...I didn't know that, so I just went and read an article. Apparently they're in talks with a few private equity firms but nothing is definite yet. If they DO sell, hopefully it doesn't become another Toys R Us fiasco.

When GameStop acquired ThinkGeek, ot signaled a big shift. They've been moving many of their bigger stores to what they call 50/50 stores. Those are the ones that will have heavier a presence of collectibles.

If it's a private equity firm that buys them, it's bad news. Those rarely end well. However, Hot Topic is apparently interested in buying them. If I recall, Hot Topic was also up to buy ThinkGeek.
