Sometimes the best customs are the ones you need to put the least amount of work into. It looks good dude. Nice job!

Speaking of easy customs...I'd say today was a productive day overall, as both my Studios Red Skulls (from Hasbro Toy Shop) and my fodder First Order bodies (from Ebay, was able to land two for under 20 dollars) arrived in the mail today.

I also managed to find the Walmart Thanos of all things today, and ran into the purple haired Psylocke at my local toy and collectible store. Since I have a problem...I said why not to both.

Red Skull: This is the figure I envisioned us getting all the way back when the movie dropped, and while it's a bit late, I really like it. I was worried that it was going to be a straight upscale of the 3.75 movie figure, which had a fantastic sculpt but little to no movement in the legs due to the skirt. Thankfully, Hasbro has taken what they've learned with their Black Series officer figures, and comprised the Skull with a softer piece that allows the figure a decent range of movement. The paints are crisp all around, and the weapon is also really nicely done, although the figure has difficulty getting it's trigger fingers into the trigger.

I really like the heads though, because it gives you the option to army build the hell out of him, and add some variety to your troops, much like what we got recently with the Hydra Soldier two pack. That's where the Black Series officer troops came in, as they are nearly the same size (slightly shorter) and bear the same, militaristic uniforms (albeit, a different color), allowing me for even more variety and a cheaper alternative.

The heads are not a perfect fit on the Black Series bodies, but if you stuff them with some napkin, they'll pop on and stay on.

While I still prefer the SDCC Skull over the regular release due to the jacket being the preferred look, this is still a very good alternative for anyone who didn't pick up that variation due to all of the added extras. Also, I should mention, the hands from the regular release do work on the SDCC Skull, as you can see from the photo.
