Judging by the armor colors and weapons, this mystery Mandalorian looks quite a but like Mij Gilamar, who was released as a figure with the EE Republic Elite Forces box set. He was one of the 75 Mandalorians hand selected by Jango Fett to help train the republic clone army during the Clone Wars.
The colors are very close, and the weapon the figure comes with is the DC-15A, which looks very close to the weapon slung over the character's shoulder shown in the photo.
If it is not the same character, the armor itself might draw some clues as to the character's origin or to the show's plot. Before Disney retconned the EU, the color scheme was often donned by Mandalorians on a mission of vengeance or retribution. Perhaps this character is attempting to avenge a loved one, or is seeking forgiveness for his sins of the past?
Either way, I'm actually excited they went this route as opposed to another established character getting his own show or film. Hopefully the production values are there with lots of practical effects. Can't wait to see more.
I I hope if it is that character that they add on a range-finder antenna to the helmet, I never liked the helmet's looks without it
