I'm very much afraid that this will still be the case this year. Three waves are pretty much dropping at once (Captain Marvel, BP wave 2, and the Kingpin wave) right now and I'm worried about how they'll handle the Avengers waves. If it is true that one wave will be MCU only and one comic only I could see stores blowing off the comic wave and over-saturating the movie one. My only consolation is that Amazon has been pretty on the ball about getting Legends in on time so as long as Beta Ray Bill and the remaining Black Order guys aren't too desired (I don't imagine they will be) I should be able to scoop them up online.
