My Brotherhood 3 pack arrived today, and as I mentioned, it was something of a mixed bag. Here's some thoughts...

Quicksilver: I really like the choices that Hasbro went with this guy. I like the body, the colors and the headsculpt, and the deco is fairly well done. Like Symbi said, the 2099 body is very well balanced, allowing him to strike some natural and good looking running poses, thanks to the butterfly joints. My only major gripes with him is that mine has some paint slop with the application, and being that they used pearlescent paints, it's gonna be tough to fix and get a good match with them if I were to attempt to. There is also some breakup of the paint in tiny patches on the chest, which could have used maybe another layer or two.

Scarlet Witch: I never thought I would ever need another Wanda after the last release, and then lone behold, this one comes along and blows Hasbro's last attempt out of the water. The metallic plastics used here are fantastic, and I love the sculpted gloves. The magic effects here are reused from the MCU two pack release, and are nice additions. Where the figure really shines though is the headsculpt. It's amazing how Scarlet Witch has gone from being one of the hideous Marvel Legends of all time to one of the most beautiful. This may indeed be the most gorgeous non MCU headsculpt of all time from the Legends line, and it takes an already good figure, and shoots it right into the must own category.

Magneto: Here's where mixed bag portion of it all comes in. Magneto was a HUGE disappointment for me, and while I'm sure many who were never able to obtain the Jubilee wave version of him will sing this figure's praises, the fact is that I actually think a lot of things were actually implemented a lot better on that original figure than this newer one.

On the positives, the figure is a good size, and a comes with some accessories that we've seen before, but when paired off with accessories we received from the last Magneto, allows for some nice options. In addition the head sculpts from all the previous Magnetos will work with the new figure, and vice versa. The matte colored finish on the plastic looks nice as well.

The negatives though are plentiful. The head sculpts look really off, and rather young. In comparison to the Jubilee wave figure, it looks as if there is a teenager cosplaying Magneto with this new one. The helmet is rather high, and has a bullet/cone head appearance to it that comes off a little goofy. The cape doesn't fit properly into the back, as the hole in his back is too small for the peg. The biggest disappointment though is in the paint job. It's really sloppy, inconsistent and very unevenly applied. This is where the TRU Magneto tops it, as this wasn't as much of an issue. The cape stayed put, the purples were purple, and the headsculpt, while not great, at least looked like an older man.

Thankfully if you would want, it's very easy to take apart and kitbash these two figures to create the ultimate Magneto, which I might end up doing in the long run. The plastic colors match perfectly between the two and since the bodies are so similar, it would not be hard to swap the boots, arms and head for the perfect figure.

(New Magneto head and effects on Jubilee wave Magneto body, I'll be swapping out the feet soon enough...)

A good set with some issues could have been far worse had it not been for how excellent Scarlett Witch turned out.
