That may be, but it isn't an SOC.
This is NOT an SOC figure, any more than the recent die cast Drossel is an SOC, or the diecast Mickey Mouse is an SOC, or the Hatsune Miku figure is an SOC, or even an SDX figure or GFF Metal Composite is an SOC. This is a standalone, licensed diecast figure that is made by Bandai and is not associated with the "soul of chogokin" line.
It may seem expensive, but granted EVERYTHING is expensive coming out of japan, these days (6" plastic figures are starting to hit around the $60 mark for stuff not made in the 20,000+ production quantities), so one should hardly be surprised at it. Considering that the average revoltech is starting to run in the $40 range when they used to be widely available for half that is a good indication of the kind of price inflation we're facing nowadays, and licensing from Disney (you'd better BELIEVE they're taking a hell of a cut) is no cheap matter, either.
