On the actual figure, the red looks like it is bare plastic (possibly the swirly/pearlescent kind). However, the Hasbro reps at NYTF were asked if the final product would have the metallic looking paint job like the Iron Man figure on display and they said yes (which it doesn't). Maybe someone misspoke or something changed. Either way, the change in red doesn't diminish my excitement for this figure.

Hopefully the rest of the 80th Anniversary figures will go up for preorder soon.
