I often find the lower halves of Mezco Figures to be their downfall like when they use little sewn-on patches to simulate knee pads which really should be cast in plastic or just trousers which lack any real detailing. Their Mr Freeze looks phenomenal from the waist up but his legs suggest he’s just wearing a boiler suit with an elaborate fishbowl on top. I think I’m just too enamoured with his Arkham mech-suit though. Really wish I bought that figure when it was still affordable. Mezco boots are pretty decent though. I think they need to integrate more plastic/rubber parts into the soft goods.

Anyways- yes, it’s a shame Gambit hasn’t got the raised purple bits on his legs but I’m still getting this figure. Torso articulation looks nonexistent which is annoying when a cut could easily be made to blend in with that armour and would so help with posing as dynamic a character as Gambit. I’m currently now in the process fo trying to sell off my unopened Revo version to make way for Mezco- but I imagine that Mafex will ultimately end up creating the one that stays on my shelf forever. Their Wolverine and Cyclops already look utterly ‘definitive.’
