As for disconnecting the Shatterstar torso from the legs, I simply heated the figure up, slid my X-Acto knife in between the gap where the waist articulation is, and used all of my might to bisect the figure. Then I dremeled out a hole where the waist joint is, filled it with hot glue, used cocoa butter lotion on Cannonball's waist peg (to prevent the hot glue from sticking to the peg) and pushed it down into the hot glue, in order to create enough friction to keep the entire assembly in place while still allowing the torso to be removed to be used with the blast effect piece he came with. Great thing about this is you have the playability where you can interchange his legs with the blast effect piece, and you still retain the waist swivel.
