Just to clarify who I am and why I am here, and what I've observed during that short time. My initial intention was to see if I could connect with like minded people in enjoying the hobby of toy collecting. In professional career and family prior to this time left me little time for the hobby. Most of what I collected stayed in boxes. That situation changed when I loss my father and my mother's health decline to the point when she was not longer being able to care for herself, and of my siblings i was in the best position to take her in and become her primary caregiver. It gave me a new appreciation to the difficulties of families who take on this task. Even as a doctor, I didnot understand how difficult and isolating it could be to take on that role.
I customise figures and make dios for myself and don't intend to make it more than a hobby. I don't realy care about articulation in my customs because they mostly just end up sitting in a fix position in a display.
The 3 3/4" forums tend to be relative quiet here. It's diffulty to really see how big a community there is. You usually see the same usernames. Ocassionaly, new names appear be most don't stay active for long. There seem to be alot of negativity. Disparging the interest, efforts or likes of others. Positivity appearing few sporative burst of sharing creativity. Not for one-upmanship, but in attempt to foster the same in others. Or with attempts to promote the genre or muster enthusiasm of some new products. That's all I have to say or share.
