Websites can sell out super fast. I've worked for places with an online store and even things you'd never think would get attention (HVAC parts) can sell out in seconds if the price is right. I had a friend who bought 12 Black series mandalorians at retail and resold them on ebay, and they sold out literally in 5 seconds even with the scalper markup. He said he clicked "list items" and the screen refreshed and was sold out.
