There really are no super rush jobs in products like this. Something like this takes 6 to 9 months from design to production. Stuff like Funko Pops can be rushed in as little as 6 weeks. McFarlane was likely working on these from the moment they signed the deal to take on the line (11 months ago). McFarlane could not reveal anything until January 1st (even though I believe he wanted to at SDCC). Same thing applied with Spin Master.
However, once it hit 2020, the licenses were in their hands, and they were able to release them. So they wasted no time, and decided to have them ready for the beginning of the year.
