I mean, they've nailed pretty much the entire Jim Lee/Animated Series-era team, right? While I know each wave has hit marks across the entire board, the 90s team has been a focus. Wonder if they'll aim for the 80s/Outback team getting finished, or maybe go for the late 90s additions like Marrow, Maggott, Cecilia, and Cannonball (in his blue-and-yellow X-Men costume)? Maybe throw late-90s Cable in there, when he slimmed down the costume and traded the guns for his Psimitar.
Thoughts?
Also, who else would be high-priority AoA figures for a second wave, if it's happening? Magneto and Rogue would be the most obvious, and hopefully Cyclops (and maybe Havok). Who else? Especially if they have no Wolverine to fall back on.
I agree that's a possibility about Hasbro trying to decide where to go next. AOA lends itself to a good 25th anniversary, and a limited time window, so it was a good choice.
My guesses would either be modern with House Of X/Powers Of X/Dawn Of X, or Morrison's new X-Men period along with X-treme X-Men. I'd say the 70s and 80s but there isn't a lot left there, quite honestly. By that I mean some important characters sure, but just not a ton of them.
If there's only another A0A wave and nothing else, I'm guessing Sabretooth, Magneto, Cyclops and Rogue are locks, and likely either Storm, Mystique, Nightcrawler, Iceman or Bishop. I REALLY want an Abyss though. And a Sinister. And oddly, a Dazzler.
I hope they churn out some pack. there's plenty for three waves and that third wave could be split into packs.
@Harbinger: I doubt they'll do Banshee. Can you imagine the griping if they did an AOA Banshee before Jim Lee or GSXM Banshee? It would be a time of darkness on the boards, when it comes up daily.
