Haha, cannot disagree with you quiet honestly. Lot of truth there.

Still, with the Phoenix force, especially the white phoenix of the crown version, she was one of the strongest characters in the team. Still as you said, it is as if after they wrote her demise, they immediately regretted it and just tried to bring her back in various ways. The drama between Jean-Cyclops-Wolverine, and then with Emma Frost also entering the picture, she was certainly the source of drama of the X-team for sometime lol.

All that being said, as you put it, she seems like an iconic character of the X-team. So kind of surprised she has been left out...
