You can use a hairdryer of course too...but I found boiling water ensures the joint is heated evenly, therefore making it easier to pop off.
Yes, I am trying to remove the legs from the ball joints. I am talking about the female figures with the hips that are two halves glued together. I can pop the single piece ones off without any problem. I can deconstruct everything else, but I want to swap hips without cracking a torso. Moonstone has the thicker thighs I think, but I am trying to take apart Polaris, which has the average thighs. Does the heat work for that kind of hip?
