Or the Predator 2 Mike Harrigan that Predator collectors have been begging NECA to do for years, especially given that this is the 30th anniversary year. This is also the 30th anniversary of Robocop 2, so it would have been nice to finally get that nemesis cyborg figure, but Randy has stated in the past he doesn't think there's enough demand for it either. A kickstarter could have proved him wrong.

A kickstarter could have given us the NECA Ghidorah figure too.

So yeah, NECA is really missing out on the potential of kickstarters or the "produce however many are preordered" model Super 7 is doing for their Ultimates to accurately guage demand rather than gambling and taking a huge loss on risky new licenses like Valorian or other boxofice bombs that have uncertain demand.
