So long story short I drove about 80 miles to a Target (this was back in March) cause I had seen that they had the NECA TMNT Cartoon figs in stock. I enjoy the hunt rather than buying online so I was excited about this trip since it would be my first time purchasing the actual 4 turtle figures in store and ready to go home with me. Anyway, I get to target and check the scanner, I type in the figure code and it says they are in stock. I asked the nearest employee if he could help me to the figures and right away I sensed attitude when the words “NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cartoon Series” came out my mouth. He started walking to the back to get the figs and asked “How many you want?” And I said “Ima take them all..” and then he said “No you’re not..” and I laughed thinking he was kidding and that’s when I realized he wasn’t. He told me I was only allowed to purchase one 2-pack. He came out with a random 2-pack not of my choosing and that’s when I asked to speak to the manager. Welp, After making discriminating remarks (I’m Mexican) he said he was the manager. That’s when I went to the front to pay and complain. He had already called security beforehand because I’m 6’4 and not skinny with tattoos on my body and one on my face. Loooong story short I was there for an hour trying to have them explain to me why I couldn’t buy the rest and their reply was “we don’t know, he’s acting manager.”. I ended up paying a couple $80 to ask for the other figures cause now the target employees told me the figures were limited to one per person. The couple helped me out, but I came home so angry and bummed out that day that I almost gave up on fig collecting. I got the scumbags name and position along with store number and reported everything to corporate that day, but I’ve yet to hear anything back. Is there a Target rule that allows customers to only purchase 1 NECA TMNT figure per customer? Ive gone to other targets before that and purchased numerous Foot Soldiers and also a foot soldier and shredder/Krang pack all at once.
