I've always thought they should have a Cult Classics style "basics" line for their horror and sci-fi releases. Basically, after an Ultimate has had it's run, bring back the mold as a lower cost release with less accessories, and smaller packaging. Kind of like they did for Freddy and Jason back in 2010 thru 2013. The figure, 1 to 2 accessories, and no interchangeable parts. Price them at $18 in plastic backers. Within those you can do store exclusive variants here and there with a different head sculpt or something. The aim would be to always have their characters on toy shelves, and give people a cheaper option who maybe don't want all the stuff that comes with Ultimates.
I also think we're going to see a bigger shift to the Mego style releases for anything that's not a 100% sure fire hit. The risk and cost to them is just much lower in that format.
