Makes me happy to see the intended audience for toys still enjoying them, and not completely saturated with desire for all things electronic.
It is possible to have a boomer stance on a subject and not actually be a boomer. Typically people who have a "get off my lawn" attitude or "my generation is better then yours" come across as boomers.
I agree that the over sensationalized 90's art was ridiculous but its what I enjoyed growing up reading comics in that era.
At the end of the day, art is all subjective. I didn't care for Christopher Reeve's portrayal and would rather my ideal version of Superman be evolved to what he is today in having the physique of someone who could actually perform those magnificent feats.

Toys are still loved by lots of kids. I have a 12 year old who has become more enamored with technology at this point but I did let her play with some of the 3.75" MU figures a few times and she enjoyed it. We have another on the way and damn sure i'm going to have that kid playing with Marvel Legends and other action figures. Any of us who are parents need to keep the action figure play alive and its always a good idea to instill the collectors mentality into a childs mind so that they can appreciate and potentially take care of our collections when we are gone.
