I don't understand why this problem is ONLY with the TMNT figures. I can go get any other NECA product at almost any time from anywhere with no problems. But when it comes to the Turtles , the fans and collectors are almost Ravenous about them. I don't know a single other property NECA has that fans are so nuts about. Now , don't get me wrong, I really like that they are doing this direct order thing. And I realize that they have to jump thru a lot of hoops because of Playmates. But I would love to know some numbers on the direct buying from NECA vs what gets sent to stores. I mean if the stores as a whole are sent 10,000 and the numbers from the NECA site are say 20,000??? then NECA could clearly see that the demand is way above what they projected. BUT if the direct numbers are less than what they make for stores, then how much is scalpers vs fans????

A quick google search says Target has about 2000 stores, if and I mean IF!!!! every store got 3 of each figure ( which 2-3 seems to be the amount found or seen) that is only 6,000 figures. I have to believe that NECA makes more than this in a standard production run, so where are the rest???

Now wal Mart has closer to 5000 stores in the US and that same set up with 2 figures going to each store ( since they seem to come in boxes of 2 to the WM stores) comes to 10,000 figures made. I really would love to just get some rough numbers from NECA on how many they produce at the start, that they need to go back and make more??
