I've had a love affair with words since an early age! I learned many moons ago that the Cuban culture's literacy rate was one of the highest in the world - well into the 90's and has been there for decades. Fluency in the language of your country of origin (even better is adding languages outside of any nationalistic perspective) isn't just important for communication, but also serves as a mighty tool for understanding the environment/world that surrounds. However, less important are the words uttered than is the content and context of what's being said.
