I have no stake in the Batwoman show or Ruby Rose, but if you've injured yourself on a job due to having to perform physically-demanding stuntwork, a back injury that
requires
emergency surgery, and are expected to jump back into it with just over a week of recovery? I'd say that holds
just
as much weight, if not more, than not being able to, either physically or mentally, manage the (as you said) rigorous pacing of TV filming. Which, again, is in this case a physically demanding role with stuntwork involved. Hard to compare that to a lot of other jobs, unless they are likewise physically-intensive and rigorously-scheduled.
It's not about copping a 'tude, it's about not being selective when comparing experiences. Even someone who was old-hat at that kind of work, I'd have serious concerns for their physical health if they threw themselves back into that kind of a grind with that little recovery time after back surgery. Hell, I'm sure whatever your job is, I'd feel the same towards your own possible surgery.
