I totally agree, this is getting into the realm of ridiculousness. These $400-$1000 ultra “realism” detailed collectibles is crazy. $600 snake mountains? $400 catmobiles? Honestly, I think as collectors we need to sit back, clear our thoughts, and just say no. Yes, I realize I’m not one to tell anyone how to spend their money. Pot calling kettle black, etc. but I sit back and look at my personal collection, as well as the flood of super expensive “toys” catering to people who have impulse control issues (face it, that’s why they do these super narrow ordering timeframes)... when it was collectors going into kB toys or tru and competing against 8 yr olds for a $12 toy was one thing. Now it’s $50+ to $200+ on average and production is purposefully reduced to encourage a loot mentality. These are less about being toys and more about being “investment collectibles”.

I dunno, I just see it differently now than when I started collecting years ago. Again, not judging you who are buying this, I’m just seeing the toy collecting community taking a dangerous turn.
