One thing to remember about Star Wars is that Lucasfilm is incredibly controlling. They decide how and when Hasbro gets to reveal anything. For the Sequel Trilogy, Lucasfilm wanted to wait until Force Friday each year to reveal new figures. So Hasbro's SDCC panel was, for the most part, barren during the years a movies was going to be released.
