Superman/Cavill's eyes and the brows are off on the figure it seems and I will agree better paint application and finishing would make these even better, just how the hair on the head looks a bit blah.
There are limitations on the detail you can flesh out based on the scale of figure, the smaller the more difficult. I think going slightly larger than 6 inch 1/12 gives more room to nail face sculpts. I could probably go on more but to get to the point, McFarlane plays in the close to 1/10 slightly bigger scale should give more allowance to pick out and nail the specific details that make the face unique. It's going to be harder for actual real people versus from illustration comic book or animation, where there's usually less and more clear cut (sometimes exaggerated) features to hit.
I know with how technology is, it should be easier now, there's a ton of scanning and face recognition software that should be able to do provide accurate sculpts but guess we're not there yet.
Just makes me wonder even if the body is good (scultping looks good, but the articulation can be suspect at times with McFarlane toys) does anyone make an excellent custom head for this scaled body?
