I don’t have steady hands either. What I do is put some black acrylic paint into a small plastic cup and add a little water to it in order to thin it out. I then go over all of the web lines haphazardly with a brush. Since the web lines are inlaid, I can go over the surface with acetone to removed the excess from the red areas while leaving the paint in the web lines alone. I’ll dip one end of a q-tip in acetone and clean the excess paint off of a small area. After that I’ll wet the other end of the q-tip in plain water and immediately go over the area I just cleaned so the water can neutralize the acetone that’s left on the plastic. It’s important to keep the q-tip moving so that you’re using a clean section of the cotton. Other wise you end up smearing the paint around and have to clean it again with a clean q-tip.

It’s the exact same process I used on the FFH Spiderman a couple of years ago.
