If someone is able to answer this inquiry then it would be greatly appreciated.
The Question:
When used action figures are bought from eBay in lots the boxes often times have small openings in the corners.
I was ultimately wondering if sealing the small openings in the corners of the boxes with packaging tape would help to minimize the oxidative damage to the action figures?
I am uncertain if lose action figures are less prone to oxidative damage if the small holes corners of the boxes are sealed with packaging tape or if these small holes should remain unsealed so the lose action figures can be aired out.
As per the preservation of lose action figures, does it induce LESS oxidative damage to the lose action figures if the box is sealed with packaging tape and the oxygen is lingering inside the box or does it induce LESS oxidative damage if the small holes in the corners of the box are unsealed which allows for lose action figures inside the box to presumably be aired out?
Attached is a photo of a small opening in the corner of a box that I am referring to.
I am assuming that the small holes in the box should remain UNSEALED to minimize oxidative damage to the figures, but am uncertain.
Thank you.
