What the hell. An Arkham Knight / Red Hood figure without guns. That is infuriatingly stupid.
I can’t wrap my head around this idiocy. The figure looks amazing and I could easily give him one of Deadpool's guns, but I simply don’t want to pay for a collector oriented figure that misses key accessories and instead includes random stuff the character never used.
I don’t want to blame Kaiyodo because I know its DC’s bullshit rules, but I don't want to support this nonsense either.
If this continues we either get more figures without guns or they stop doing characters that use guns altogether. Not a fun prospect for this hobby IMO.
I find this kinder, gentler world we live in with an aversion to including guns with action figures to be tone-deaf, kneejerk reactionary, and insulting to the intelligence. I feel like the very notion must have root in some “won’t someone think of the children” mentality—forget the fact that these high end figures are like $70-100 retail and don’t find their way into many children’s collections, or the fact you can also kill people with swords and daggers. It all makes a lot of sense kowtowing to folks who might bitch but would never actually buy the end product themselves regardless of how you bend over to appease them.
