Thanks, it was certainly unexpected. If someone told me the day before that I'd be buying a Lego set at the flea market, I'd have told them they were nuts. I have to say whoever the previous owner was, they took really good care of it. The parts were clean and everything looked brand new. I think it was built once and then put back in the box.

I don't pay much attention to current Lego, but based on what I see when I sometimes glance at them in the toy aisles, I honestly prefer the stuff from the 90's compared to today. I think aesthetically they look better. Plus I prefer when Lego just did their own thing rather than all the licensed stuff. Sometimes I'll spot a city themed set that captures the feel that the older sets had.
A few years ago while reorganizing the basement I rediscovered my childhood Lego, and I took the time to sort out all the parts by color and then took on the task of slowly rebuilding each set I had one or two at a time. I was really curious to see if they were complete, and to know what I actually had. This year I put together quite a few during some nasty power outages we had. It was a great way to pass the time and get my mind off the house getting colder as we waited for the electricity to come back on.
