Ever since NECA got the Godzilla license and then did nothing but Godzillas with it, they have been boring me.
Don't get me wrong, I love them and I am excited for the Gargoyles and Universal Monsters line, but they don't seem to take advantage of their property's possibilities. I mean, we still don't have a full set of both the Nostromo crew in their regular clothes or all of the main Space Marines. They keep delaying their Part VII Jason and have done no victims to go with him. Same with Michael. Like where is young Laurie, Sheriff Brackett, Annie, Allyson, Karen, etc?
Hell, years ago when they had the Legacy of Kain video game license all they did was Kain figure that had very little articulation and then four different versions of Raziel. They didn't do any of the boss characters, Ariel, Mobius, any of the residents of Nosgoth, well, anything period.
It's like they buy a license and then do the bare minimum with it, at least as far as character selection is concerned. I love how many accessories they give to their figures, but what's the point of giving Jason a machete, axe, pitchfork, knife, bottle opener, spear gun, etc, if there is no one for him to use them on?

I've been anxiously waiting all year to see what they do with it and after such a long wait I really hope it's not just going to be 8" MEGO style figures. I want plastic 7" ones to mix in with the Universal Monsters line.
I'm not the biggest Hammer horror fan, but I would totally dig doing comparison shots of the Lee Frankenstein monster with the Karloff one and Lee's Karis against an eventual Universal Karis.
