And for me personally, my 3 favorite characters are Stinkor, Spikor & Clawful. Spikor never even made it into the line. And right when they got to Stinkor & Clawful they made those stupid statues. So that was like a really bad stinging burn for me personally. I collected the entire line, I had every single toy released. Every single variant. Then making my favorite characters into those statues was the same as kicking me in the balls as hard as you can. I don't like statues, I like action figures. Big difference. Also, Clawful's mace snapped in half the second I tried to put it in his hand/claw
I could be off on the timeline but I dont think Mattel switched over from action figures to stactions. I think they already ended the line and then (along w/ 4 horsemen & neca) gave collectors the opportunity to fill out their collections with stactions that were in the same scale and style as the 200x figures. Only since they were in resin, the sculpts were a lot sharper and paints apps were on point...quality not unlike a 2-up prototype but at the smaller action figure scale and affordable prices. I thought the line was great but to each their own of course.
Btw, I seem to remember Clawful's mace being made of plastic not resin but, could be misremembering. It didnt seem like he was able to have a solid grasp on it and I was concerned about paint rub so never bothered to have him hold it.
