This isn't just NECA, all Black Series figures are supposed to be $25 as the MSRP. Many are $23 already. It's happening all across the board for all figure lines.
True, but NECA prices have been getting ridiculous for years now way before the pandemic was a factor.
Diamond selects prices have creeped up too, but not nearly to the same degree and they include diorama or build a figure pieces. And somehow McFarlane is still selling detailed, fully articulated figures (albeit with less accessories) for the $20-25 price point sometimes less. You can’t tell me if NECA produced a figure today with the heft and size and detail of the Violator it wouldn’t be upwards of $100.
I only harp on this because NECA used to pride themselves as the guys with the most detailed figures at a competitive price. This is far from the case now. Still love their products, but I’ll have to significantly cut back.
