Not for me. I don't care for the first version at all, but the second version was so badass because it was like someone at Marvel decided to rip off the design of the Predator and gave him the abilities of a Terminator. I owned Death's Head II's first few issues where he absolutely destroyed the original DH. The only connection I had to DH1 at all was a Marvel card and the first issue to DHII.

Honestly, I think the fact that the head of Death's Head II was a blatant rip of the Predator (techy tentacle locs and all) was the reason some people didn't like Minion iirrc. That combined with the aping of the T-1000 morphing tech for his arm seems to have also annoyed people as being lazy. Meh, IMO Terminator aped a lot of its ideas from comics to begin with.
