I like the comics for GI Joe better than the cartoon, but for Transformers, I never cared about the comics. I don't know why, but transforming robots just wasn't as cool if they weren't transforming on screen.

Never even knew Tron was a thing until it was brought up in an episode of THe Simpsons, but I never saw it until Legacy was coming out.
