Do the Sentinels count as 2021 or 2020?
Good question about the Sentinel, should you want to include it. I'd call it for a 2021 figure since it wouldn't have been inhand until that year. It's like the 2020 preorder was a preview. To each their own though.

Anyways I put some thought into and here's what I've come up. I'm NOT included the Sentinel in my top 10 list, it's just not fair to every other figure released. But yeah he's absolutely the star of the year. THere's no way he couldn't be. (Unless some poor soul is still waiting for them to arrive!)

Honorable mentions to both AoA and HOX/POX Magneto. Both great figures, but just missing the cut. As much as I wanted a Sersi figure, and want to look her figure more than I do, she's not top 10 list. There's quite a few figures I imagine I would have put on the list if I weren't cutting back (Surtur looks awesome and so do Mastermind/Callisto from the Amazon set).

10. Zombie Captain America What If - what a horrorshow of a figure, in such a good way. Incredible detail and I know it's show specific, but they could definitely mine this theme.

9. Cyclops (HOX/POX) - Great look for Cyclops, I know I placed him lower on initial review of the wave, but he's solid and different from his usual cowled look.

8. Firestar - for all the want for this figure had, it was more to fill the glaring omission of not having her character in plastic form yet. As a figure, she's pretty plain outside of the headsculpt. So for that I can't justify putting her higher. Headsculpt is great though.

7. AOA Sabretooth - really a great solid figure and much needed addition to the AOA theme. Super fun and the star of the wave for me.

6. Shadowcat (Excalibur set) - another really good figure. Definitely was needed, but is not quite perfect. If the hair had been more on point she would have ranked higher. But other than that, she looks good.

5. Moira X - Definitely the highlight of the HOX/POX wave for me. Before that storyline I wasn't sure we'd ever get a Moira figure (and honestly we probably never would have). The interchangeable parts is a huge plus. If I weren't cutting back, I would have gotten a second of her to take advantage of that.

4. Morlun - My most wanted Spider-Man related character finally got made and I was Soooo happy. He's such a creepy figure. Great use of the base mold as well. Great attention to detail like the holes in the hand. Creepy facesculpts. Win/win all around.

3. Ultron - Not much to say here. They've made several attempts, but this one knocks them all out of the park. No more need for another Ultron. He's fantastic.

2.WandaVision Scarlet Witch - I don't buy a lot of MCU figures now, but there's no way I could pass this one up - though I didn't preorder or anything. My god the detail on this figure is insane, which is probably because it's MCU. This figure is just stunning.

1. Lady Deathstrike - Finally. Finally able to discard that horrible monstrosity from 2006. That alone is a huge boost to this character's ranking. When you add just how well this figure was done - sure she's not as detailed as the runner up, but they nailed the look so perfectly. I cannot oversell the upgrade though, it was so needed. Banshee needs to be next, though if you compare the earlier versions of both characters, Hasbro did the "in need of upgrade" in the right order.
