For the record, I like Donald Glover. It's the way they chose to redraft Lando that leaves me wanting a little more development. But in defense of Glover, Billy Dee, as an icon, isn't an easy person to reprise given his almost mythical status.

I like him as well. I thought his delivery of Lando was well done. It played almost as an impersonation homage. He obviously researched the role and his cadence was so perfect to be damn near creepy at times. Glover's portrayal would have been spot on had the writers not chosen to "redraft" him as you pointed out.
