Reminder that Amazon tends to put up listings early and can be a bit late to activating them.
Kyler Rayner: I don't why I thought the torso one one piece. The sword is perfectly covering the fold. I still dislike the whole top ab overlay. They could have the room for ab crunch by just dropping it. I don't feel it preserves the illusion like they think it does.
That said, I think Kyle might have the best chest sculpt in the line. The lantern and sword are fine accessories. But the lack of matching pairs of hands is still silly. He should have two closed fists and two open hands.
Batman: Is clearly all sculpt. His face is just hideous an I love it. It's a tad annoying how some of these Batman would be perfect as a normal figure but we never get just a regular Batman without strings attached.
Deathstorm: Same deal as Kyle. Great sculpt but we need matching pairs of hands. Also some energy blast effects would have been appreciated. Might go in there an add some white and blue to the flame.
Superman: I think the S looks way too wonky. It's really small and gummy. The comic the character really had a wide upper chest. Also they missed the grey on the sides. But great face though.
Atrocitus could have been his own figure. This feels like a great BAF set because none of them feel lazy. Like John Stewart did not need to be in the Endless Winter wave at all.........when Aquaman is right there.
The only downside is it's another Batman/Superman without Powergirl and co in the line to support them(or the other way around).
My guess is the retail stores like Target/Walmart didn't want to carry the figure and this was the only way to get it out.
Really the only complaint I have is the lack of matching pairs of hands. It's nice to see not one bit of side eye.
