Short PSA here. I figure what I used on my Spider-Man figures might help some others with their figures.

I picked up a couple of Pigma Micron 005 ink pens at Michaels on Sunday. The tips are 0.20mm which makes it easy to fill in the sculpted web lines on older Spider-Man figures. The ink comes out at a reasonable amount, not too much or too little. Cleaning up mistakes is as simple as wiping it off with your finger tips or a tissue. Because it's ink and not paint, the figures need to be sprayed with a clear coat to prevent the ink from wiping off.



I used Krylon Matte Finish to spray my Spider-Man figures. The particular spray that I used has the artist's paint brushes on the front of the can and it's intended to seal artwork. I picked it up at Walmart for around the same price as a tiny can of Testor's Dullcote spray at Hobby Lobby. The Krylon took away the shine on both of my figures with minimal spraying. It dried after 10-15 minutes but it needed about 24 hours to fully cure.
