I'm not sure I'll have access to a car, but if there's a nicely stuffed Walmart or Target in the suburbs, please let me know!
Hey there! On-island, there are a few big Toys R Us locations that might be fun to check out. Here's the store locator on their website:

The one in Angrignon is near a big shopping centre with a walmart in it.
In terms of comic shops, a lot of my favourite ones don't seem to be around anymore, but Librairie Omnibus and Capitaine Quebec are still around:

If you're going off-island, there's a Toys R Us in my town of Brossard, just across the Champlain Bridge, and you'll also find the sprawling Dix 30 shopping mall in Brossard as well, which features a big walmart as well as some specialty stores that stock figures and toys.
Promenades Saint Bruno is also an option. There is a Toys R Us there, albeit outside of the big shopping mall itself, and in the massive shopping mall, you will find Boutique Imaginaire, a hobby store with toys, board games, model kits, comics, collectibles, and more:

Hope this helps, and enjoy your visit!
