The only thing I would knock McFarlane for would be the Year 2 Batman fiasco. Broken figures AND completely missing the release date by 4(?) months.
GI Joe is going to be weird. It's got a good deal of figures but when they come out "?".
Add on that it's basically built for army building. It's so strange.
Lightning Collection.............we'd just like figures to be announced. Also the Trex Sentry to actually be released in the US. Due out in October/November. Been released all the other countries. Not a peep from Hasbro on this figure. Hasbro really doesn't want to talk about this line that they actually own.
Star Wars Black - You'd think was less popular then He-man. I sorta wonder what Hasbro thinks about the brand.
Mcfarlane I think has been a bit more conservative. They've been releasing figures in spurts. You have the waves and then you got one or two figures that pop up every two months. So it always feels like something is coming out. Maybe it's not a normal Wonder Woman but probably a weird Batman but it's something.
They also I think announce figures really close to those releases which helps it feel like they are getting merch out quicker. But we've gotten leaked lists for like the next 6 month to year. It's the same timetable but Mcfarlane if anything is the best at announcing figures in an ideal timeframe.
Now if they'd work on fixing their articulation system and making it consistent.
With the upcoming Red Hood, we've seen the first figure to use peg hands with an horizonal swivel(though the trigger hands should be vertical...but baby steps). Also standard matching sets of hands.
We just need a whole lot of elements to combine to have an ideal figure that combines industry standards for the last decade with the more unique sculpts Mcfarlane does.
